Each September, it is #childhoodcancerawarenessmonth and at Blooming Green we fundraise for this wonderful charity, in memory of Seth.

Seth loved to visit us and enjoyed picking flowers with his big brothers. If you’re a regular visitor you would have seen his memorial bench, at the centre of our plot. Seth loved pirates, & this year the Jolly Roger rose 🏴☠️ which climbs up his bench looked magnificent, we all enjoy tending to it.

We’re getting very excited about being involved with @strawbhillhouse flower festival next week. We’re a bit spoilt for lovely materials but have plenty to spare / share if you need to get hold of British foliage and fillers. We’ll be doing a bumper delivery to @bloomfieldoflondon of the following stems: Cotinus, fennel (bronze), frosted explosion grass, miscanthus, orache – red, physocarpus, pittosporum green, rosehip bunch, scented geranium, snowberry pink, solidago grass-leaved, sunflower dark/ Sonja, weigelia - purple, weigelia -variagated. Drop them a line or head to their space @marketflowers if you want to get it fresh from Kent. It’s getting a good watering right now!

Our Thursday “PYO, Pizza & Prosecco” is open this week & next (5th & 12th), then it closes for 2024. Come along and enjoy our final weeks. We are open 5-8pm, no booking required, just turn up.

An early start to an exciting day, with our first delivery of all kinds of goodies to @bloomfieldoflondon Great to see our stems flying out the door before we’d even finished our fried breakfast & lattes in the @marketflowers cafe. Today’s stems included, cotynus, golden rod, scented basil, scented geranium, physocarpus, miscanthus and lots more. Looking forward to seeing what’s in demand in the coming months. It was clear talking to a few people in the market that they were relieved they could still get their hands on our Kent-grown foliage and flowers after many happy years supplying @gbfoliage Here’s to a new chapter… We’ll keep you posted!
We are open tomorrow for PYO flowers, tea / coffee & cake… don’t let the weather forecast put you off! We’re opening up the shed for extra ‘cafe space’ and there is shelter on the plot and on the deck. Plus, the flowers will love a bit of rain… If, however, you do want to rebook, please send us an email with preferred date and time (Saturdays til the end of October) and we can sort this out for you…

We visit a lot of venues each season but Saturday’s delivery to @oaktreebarnweddings was a particular treat. A really beautiful and original venue — but it was the owners & event manager who made it feel so special. So welcoming & friendly… and it’s clear they love what they do!
Blooming Green has supplied @marketflowers with premium, chemical-free, Kent-grown foliage for more than five years. We specialise in both ‘firm favourites’ as well as more unusual, interesting and quirky materials, picked and foraged from our farm near Maidstone. Having been florist-growers since 2008, we know what our fellow florists and their customers are looking for – and have our finger on the pulse of current trends and styles. We grow using organic principles, hand-pick our stems straight into water then bring them directly to market. We don’t use plastic and provide our stems unwrapped but perfectly bunched. We have been proud to supply David Gorton of @gbfoliage since 2019 – and in that time, learn from the master! As one door closes, another door opens, and we are delighted to be supplying @bloomfieldoflondon as of the end of this month
